How to think about selecting a Plaque

Plaques are one of the traditional forms of recognizing achievement. It would seem logical then that we display a selection of plaques and wait for the orders to roll in. That just wouldn't do justice to the unbelieveable variety of plaques now available, not to mention the many decorative brass plates or the type of engraving - laser, scratch or rotary - or even the possibility of lasering directly into the wood.

Rather than making the selection of a plaque far more complicated than it needs to be, we do have our favorites and have linked to the catalog of the supplier judged to have a great selection, great inventory the ability to ship quickly. As with any of our other services, we are willing to make an effort to fill any unusual or unique requests (laser engrave the circular top of a stool for a frisbie tournament or make a plaque from the cross section of a tree) that your imagination calls for. If you do call or e-mail we will ask the following questions;

• What size award do you envision ?
• Would you like solid wood or does the budget dictate a less expensive composition plaque ?
• What finish do you prefer? Plaques are of all types of wood or appear to be walnut, oak or marble.
• What is the occasion? Our reccommendations will be different for a visiting professor as opposed to a Cub Scout.
• Sand Carved a name and small graphic on a piece of natural stone.
• Digitized a 1938 Ford truck from an old photo and embroidered the design on the owner's jacket.
• Modified an heirloom kitchen utensil for permanent mounting on a custom walnut base.
• Imprinted a photographic image on t-shirts for a family reunion.

So what to do if you have something at home to be embroidered. Ifit's a collar, send it in. If it's a saddle pad, send it in. If you need something for a tack room,call us. Remember, we also do cattle, dogs, cats, boer goats llamas, whatever you have.

If you have traveling awards that you must haveengraved and return for the next year's winner bring it in or ship it to us (call first) to be engraved and returned to you.
